Criminal record checks are carried out via the Disclosure and Barring Service, formerly referred to as the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and are commonly known as DBS Checks.
Affordable Screening offers two levels of fast-turnaround criminal record checks.
Standard DBS Check
A Standard DBS Check is intended for people in positions of significant responsibility, for example those working in the security sector or in the professions. It reveals spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings.
Enhanced DBS Check
An Enhanced DBS Check is intended for those people in positions of high trust in relation to the care and supervision of children and vulnerable results. In addition to the information provided by the Standard DBS Check, the enhanced version will also reveal any information held by police that’s considered relevant to the role.
